The world of Pokemon! A world filled with adventure, mystery, and a wide variety of creatures from all around the globe with powers as unique and rare as their appearances!
Whether you're a human out on a journey filled with adventure to prove that you're the best pokemon trainer, or you simply wish to befreind every pokemon you meet and learn more about them, there is something in this world for everyone.
~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.~.
It was bright and early in the morning as the sun was rising into the sky, onto an only slightly cloudy day.
Sleeping in the grass near the entrance to Pallet town was a small yellow rodent pokemon commonly known as a pikachu. Unlike other Pikachus though this one had some rather unusual body markings. It wore a pair of black goggles on its head, and was sleeping with a backpack as its pillow.
As the pikachu snoozed it hugged into the backpack and started nibbling on it, probably dreaming of food. The Pikachu's name was Matt, or as he had come to call himself, Mattchu.

A trio of Pokemon were further down the way on the route, but... These weren't Pokemon that you'd normally see anywhere NEAR Route 1.
"So why are we here again?" the Dratini named Kairyu asked, tilting his head to the side. "Godric said something important was going to happen, remember?" the Eevee who had the name of Vivi responded.
Then there was the one named Godric. A Mewtwo. But... a blade was sheathed on his side. He shook his head lightly. "...this is the town of beginnings, is it not? So isn't it fitting that this is where our story begins?"
Vivi sighs lightly. "...really, so... just because of tradition?"
Godric nodded. "After all, tradition is important."

"Weeeellll, look who's here. G'morning, Colt."
The friendly voice of Professor Oak was a welcome sound to start the day, much more than the 'alarm clock' of a Meowth whose tail had been stepped on by someone. The young teen's hair was still a bedhead mess, with the sun only barely off the ground; but then, his hair was always rather shaggy and messy-looking. Unlike some others, he didn't hide it beneath a hat or a cover, instead letting it be completely visible on his head. He did have a bandana, but rather than on his forehead, it was around his neck somewhat loosely. He had a white t-shirt on beneath a black, open jacket with a hood. Simple jeans and tennis shoes made up the rest of his normal look, but the blue backpack he had on was a different sight, fitting that of a young man's first day as a trainer. He was a little unkempt, his clothes wrinkled, as he had gotten dressed in a hurry and ran as fast as his tired legs would carry him to the Professor's office, where he traditionally handed out first-time trainers their first Pokémon.
Stifling a yawn, the youth covered his mouth and blinked wearily before opening his eyes brightly. "Sorry, am I late...?" he asked in a worried tone.
The Professor blinked, before he tilted his head back slightly in a laugh. "Oh goodness, no, Colt; you're the first one here!" He wiped the mirth from one eye as he smiled to his friend. "How interesting, you worried about being late before most are even awake. You, young man, have your priorities straight."
Colt rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Nah, I just...had an extra bit of luck, though my ears wouldn't think to say the same..."
Oak nodded, his eyes closed and one hand on his chin, the other cupping that elbow. "I can understand that. Sometimes the early Bird that gets the Bug is merely gifted with luck, as you seem to be in this case, but that's still no reason to think any less of you, of course. Now then, have you given any thought to the partner you wish to choose?"
Colt nodded. "I have. But...would it be alright if I see my choices anyway...?" he asked hopefully.
The tone of that young voice was enough to crack Oak, not that it was hard to begin with, he was a softy for sentimentality, after all; it's what set him apart from many other Professors, the level he cared for both Trainer and Pokémon. "Of course, they're out back." With that, he turned around while beckoning Colt to follow after, which, of course, the teen did with a spring in his step (coupled with another stifled yawn).
'Out back' was of course a bit of a misnomer, as Professor Oak had an immense tract of land with which to take care of his own Pokémon, as well as those who needed a home, and the Pokémon that would be available as Starting Partners for new Trainers. Wide expanses of grasslands, with a smattering of rocky outcrops, small ponds, and large trees here and there helped make it a rather inviting home to a number of different species, namely the ones who were cared for until a Trainer selected them. The sight of it all made Colt's eyes shine with wonder; he, of course, had seen it all before, but that didn't make it any less wondrous to him even for the umpteenth time seeing it.
A Treeko and a Froakie were busy playing tag, or some kind of chasing game similar to that, right outside the back door of the lab. A Charmander was using his tail as a sort of campfire for a group gathered around him, some cooking food (showing that they knew from humans how to cook and some preferred it) and some chatting animatedly in their languages. An adorable couple of a Monferno and a Chikorita were actually up in the boughs of one of the trees nearest the house, slumped against one another's sides as they napped in the early morning together. The pasture was not crowded by any means, but there was a good deal of sights to see, near and far, that would take too much time for Colt to pay attention to before the day passed him by like it had so many times before.
"I never get tired of this..." he murmured, slowly crouching down in a squatting position, arms resting in the crook of his legs and hanging down between his legs softly.
"Now, I know you've heard me say this before to other new trainers, as well as to you on numerous occasion," Oak started softly while gazing out over his life's work, "but you really needn't worry about denying another new trainer his or her favorite Pokémon by the one you choose. There are multiples of each species here to ensure a wide gene pool and variety, for both natural reasons and selection reasons, I'm sure you know." Oak pointed to one Pokémon as an example, on one of the rocks, a Tepig laid quietly, snoozing in a protective position against her egg.
Colt nodded while looking upon the adorable sight. "Makes sense, but doesn't make choosing any easier nonetheless..."
Oak looked down to the young ward. "I thought you said that you had thought about your decision?"
"I did," Colt confirmed with a nod. "That still doesn't make it easy, I'm sure you know, Professor. But yes, I do know which kind I want. But even so, choosing from one of the many examples still presents a tough choi-"
Of course, he was interrupted as he felt something climbing up the back of his jacket by grabbing onto his hood and using that to lift itself up. Soon, that presence was seated on top of his head, then curling up as if to nap. "Professor...what just climbed onto my head...?"
Oak chuckled. "Well, that male Oshawott seems to have taken a shine to you. I do believe he is the same one you played with last week."
A soft look of surprise crossed Colt's face, but after a few seconds, a contented smile slid onto his face. "Well, I was actually hoping I'd see Musashi again..."
And they both knew that Colt had made his decision.

Matt the pikachu would stretch and yawn as he got to his feet and adjusted his backpack before heading into town. He would scamper along to professor Oak's Lab, since Professor Oak tended to feed and care for pokemon, plus professor oak might be able to offer some insight on his spontaneous change into a pikachu. So it was at least worth the visit if nothing else.
Aylex meanwhile made his way from the hidden clearing out into the forest... it was silent, not a pokemon could be heard anywhere. He would sigh slightly disheartened as he shook his head. The raid was over, team universe had stolen all the pokemon they needed to do whatever it was they planned on doing. Placing his sword on his back, Aylex made his way out of the forest and on towards the town on route one, Pallet Town. With any luck he'd run into someone who could help him with his issues.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile somewhere out in the Cinnabar Ocean a dark indigo colored lugia swam near the bottom of the ocean floor no light was to be found here, so she had to use her dark vision to see.... that is until something rather bright seemed to radiate from the darkness. Curious-er and curious-er she grew until she was upon the glowing object of white light. Reaching for it with her mouth she suddenly drew back as it seemed to explode forth with white light, a light that covered her as she could feel metal clamping onto her around her neck and breast, around her wings which morphed into arms, and around her legs forming shin and knee guards. Each piece was golden plated and had a glowing white gem in the center of the breast plate. Object reformed in her hand as a sword and with it she knew, this blade was one of the blades of destiny, there were a few scattered around the world, to have one meant you were chosen to protect the world. She was a pokemon knight.
Exhaling slowly rose up through the water with all due haste and shot into the air taking flight as she turned and made her way towards Pallet Town, inexplicably drawn there.
The trio continued to head towards palette town before stopping in their tracks.
"Hey is that... a Mewtwo? Why does it have armor on it? ...I wonder if I could..."
A Pokeball was tossed at Godric.
"...fool," he said before slicing the Pokeball in half with his blade. "...you do not try to catch a Knight, nor its followers, got it?"
The trainer's eyes went wide before he nodded. "A...alright," he said before running off.
Godric sighed lightly, shaking his head.
Vivi blinked a few times. "...hey, there's a Pidgey over there... maybe he'd wanna join us."
"...later. We get to Palette first."
Kairyu sighed lightly, shaking his head. "I don't know if he'll be back by then, but... it can wait, anyways. As a group, I think we're good enough for now."
The trio continued their way towards the town.
"Are you sure about leaving today?"
"Well, that's how it works, right? You get your Pokémon, you get registered, then it's off to the next town, right?"
Colt was back in the lab with the good Professor, setting up his Pokédex and getting his standard starting materials, like his Pokéballs. After handing Colt his Pokédex, Oak had given him a stern look and proceeded with starting their current conversation.
At Colt's response, Oak shook his head a bit without taking his eyes off of the young man. "Maybe in the games or on the television, but it's normally a bit more complicated than that. It normally takes a month for all the preparations to conclude, and that's for...well..."
"Look, Professor, it's fine. I live in an orphanage, and while that sucks, it's not like I'll get depressed about you talking about kids that have homes," Colt said matter-of-factly.
"Fair enough. But look, those kids have things provided for them you don't have the luxury of having provided for you at your orphanage." Oak uncrossed his arms and put both hands on the boy's shoulders. "This is something that requires preparation. Money to start, a supply of food, materials for camping, and many other things. This is not something to be taken lightly, you won't be taking trains or cars for free everywhere you go. There are some services, but as an aspiring trainer, you're expected to be autonomous in your travels, most of them by foot."
Colt looked into Oak's eyes. "I've been taking odd jobs for the past two years whenever I could get out from the witch's gaze, and miss Lancia even gave me a bit of money for my sixteenth birthday last week to give me that last boost I needed to have a good amount. Trust me, Professor Oak...I've been preparing for this. Ever since I was ten." What Colt did NOT say is that he had learned that the age for Pokémon trainers to start was NOT 10, but 16, hence further inspiration to earn his way to being ready those long years.
Oak's eyes gave a twinkle, but he added in a stern voice, "Is that really any way to refer to miss Kudja? She may be harsh, but she means well in running the orphanage that way alongside miss Lancia and miss Lilia." Oak's words did not seem wholly serious to Colt's ears; they seemed more like Oak was saying them purely because he was the adult, and on some degree agreed with him.
"I don't think making me sleep in the bathroom because I gave some other kid half my sandwich is really 'fair,' but let's not dive down that rabbit hole again..." Colt said resignedly.
Another inspiration to not continuing the conversation topic was the slowly awakening Oshawott on top of his head, sitting up and rubbing a paw on his eyes. "So, Professor..." Colt started, "I've heard that some trainers can understand their Pokémon. Is that true?"
Oak chuckled and released Colt's shoulders, stepping back to the large computer where he logged some more data about Colt as a trainer. "Well, most trainers cannot, but they learn how their Pokémon act, and can understand them to a degree; minor charades from Pokémon can help that. But there are some trainers, not totally rare but fairly close, that can actually come to understand Pokémon that become close to them." He then grinned over his shoulder. "Of course, some Pokémon types may have the ability to be able to speak English, but most of them are Legendaries, and those are, of course, not confirmed or documented. Psychic-Types, though, are actually unique, not all, but many species like the Abra evolutionary line actually are able to communicate in a fashion their Trainer can understand using their Psychic abilities."
"Woah, that's really cool! Only another reason to like the Psychic-Types!" Colt exclaimed. If he were asked, he would be loathe to choose any one Type over another, but Psychic-Types did always intrigue him more than most.
That earned him a light kick on his forehead from the heel of one offended Oshawott, whining down to him softly. "Ow! Oh, geeze, Musashi, I didn't mean to say I'd like you less than any Psychic-Type! Just liking the Type as a whole, is all...honest. You're better than any of the Psychic-Type Pokémon though, it's why I chose you!" Cheesy, but honest, his words seemed to satisfy Musashi into no longer pouting and feeling better.
Oak finished with the rest of the registry information and sighed, straightening his back as he stood up fully again. "Again, Colt, I'll ask: are you sure you're ready?"
Colt gave the Professor his best determined look. "I have to, Professor Oak. The witch has already been threatening to increase my workload because I'm older, and that her fellow owners wouldn't mind me getting more work because of that. She already hates me, I really don't want to spend every day under her thumb for more and more hours..." Colt looked down. "The authorities investigated but couldn't find any evidence that she was doing these things to me. They did their best, but she's just too good. For my safety, I need to go..."
"But what about your fellow orphans?"
Those words struck Colt to the core, his head whipping back to stare, wide-eyed, at Oak. "Wh...what do you mean?"
Oak sighed a bit, crossing his arms a bit. "With you gone, she may fly into a rage, if she is what you say. And your fellow orphans may get the brunt of her rage. More will suffer from your freedom in which case. I'm...not trying to discourage you. But you need to think of them as well..."
Colt bit his lip as he shut his eyes tight, on the verge of tears. He started when he felt a strong grip on his shoulder again, but didn't raise his head or open his eyes.
"I actually support you in your idea to go as soon as possible," Oak said reassuringly. "I'm just trying to get you to think about the hard things. There will be more hard choices you need to make. For yourself, for your Pokémon. For the future you may experience and the things you come across. The world is big, and you will affect it everywhere you go. Do you understand."
"I will fight for them!"
Oak raised an eyebrow and leaned back at that outburst, intrigued. He didn't say a word, though, as Colt raised his head and opened his eyes despite the tears flowing.
"I will fight, and grow, for them. Not just as an inspiration, but to get them out of there! They need a better home, a better life!" His voice cracked, and his body shook, but he did not sob or stammer. "Lancia and Lillia are nice, but that witch makes everything so bad for everyone she targets. I will fight and change that! I swear!"
Oak's expression softened, and he gave quite the heartfelt smile to his young ward. "Now that, my dear Colt, is a goal."
Mattchu had made it to Professor Oak's lab as he came running in, "Professor Oak! Good morning!"
The man who was currently with Colt would turn and smile, "Ah Matt, good morning to you too, Matt, this is Colt, he's about to begin his journey as a pokemon trainer!"
Matt would blink before nodding at the boy named Colt and his Oshwatt. "Hi there!" he'd proclaim casually before running over to the professor, "I'm just here for some supplies if that's ok"
"Certainly Matt"
With that the oddly patterned pikachu took off his backpack and began shuffling through it for stuff.
Godric sighed, sheathing his blade as he hovered into Palette town.
"What now?" Vivi asked. "Yeah what now?" Kairyu repeated.
"We wait. At least for now. We head north in about an hour."
"Why didn't we go north first?" "Tradition."
Godric pulls out three berries and hovers one over to each of his followers before biting down on his own.
As the Trio and the mew would gather meeting some ten yards ahead of them, a charmander would come running out of the forest from the right as it did a tuck and roll on the ground dodging several pokeballs, as a team of men in black uniforms with purple U's marked on them, each one with teams of pokemon ranging from ratatas, and raticates, to nidorans, and koffing, attempting to attack the charmander. But... there was something different about the charmander, it had spiked horn like ears coming off it's head, there were strange markings on the body, the tail flame was blue, and it was wearing golden armor, wielding a sword... another pokemon knight! Like Godric!
The men would order their team of pokemon to attack together, as the charmander moved quickly dodging several attacks before running into the fight kicking a koffing in the face and hitting a ratata with the blunt side of his sword before slashing two pokeballs into quarter pieces.
With a growl the charmander would jump backwards holding the blade in both hands before running a surge of pinkish red energy glowing through the blade as it performed SLASH, sending a shockwave of energy forward shredding the ground and hitting several of the pokemon at once sending them sprawling backwards.
"That's for attacking my forest!" the charmander would yell as he took a defensive stance, " Now have you had enough, or do you want more?"
Godric shakes his head. "Kairyu, Vivi, make sure the Mew remains safe," he says, pulling out his blade."
"Got it." "You can count on us."
The Eevee and the Dratini go over to the Mew, covering both sides. "Don't worry, we won't let anything bad happen." "Godric knows what he's doing."
Godric sighs lightly. "Who are these humans who have bothered your forest?" Godric asks, floating forwards, sword still drawn, "And what are they doing so close to the Town of Beginnings?"
